“The Stone House is one of the most lavish country houses we have ever visited. Dating back to 1825, and fitting proudly in manicured English-style gardens overlooking the South Esk River, this grand heritage-listed Georgian treasure is an exceptional example of the exquisite craftsmanship of the period. Naturally, guests have the entire estate to themselves. Step inside and discover a treasure trove of exquisite Georgian-style furniture interspersed with Asian treasures. The grand rooms do not disappoint: the formal dining room has a butler’s pantry, the sitting room invites with an open fire, the lush eat-in kitchen gleams with a French cooker and black granite bench tops, and there’s even a separate TV room and a fully fitted office. A new addition is the extraordinary conservatory with its walls of glass opening onto the swimming pool, hot tub and various garden rooms at the back.
